Three…free family festivals in Greater Dandenong
1. Dandenong West Community Festival will run from 2pm to 6pm on Friday 23 March to mark Cultural Diversity Week and Harmony Day.
There will be free face painting, an animal farm, cultural performances and more at the Dandenong West Primary School event.
2. Autumn Fest is designed for the whole family – including four-legged friends.
The event will feature live music, roving performers, workshops, games and sports, arts and crafts, circus play, a jumping castle and more.
For dogs, there’s a lure course and interactive training games.
The festival will run from 11am to 4pm on Sunday 8 April at Frederick Wachter Reserve, Kingsclere Avenue, Keysborough.
3. The Nawroz Festival is the biggest outdoor celebration for the Afghan Australian community in Victoria and marks the Afghan New Year.
The outdoor festival will run from 2.30pm ton 7.30pm on Sunday 25 March at Dandenong Park.
There’ll be Afghan food, music, dance, poetry, stalls, fashion, arts and crafts for kids and more.
