Mums across the country will receive a little piece of Keysborough this Mother’s Day.

Commercial nursery Karinga sends more than 150,000 chrysanthemums to supermarkets and other stores across Victoria, New South Wales and South Australia each Mother’s Day.

Owner Roy Schirmer said the blooms were naturally in season during autumn and could last for weeks indoors and would flower again next year if planted in a garden.

The family business has been growing in Keysborough for about 40 years.
