A Women’s Association South East Melbourne (WASEMA) contingent were invited to the Victorian. And proud of it. Senior’s Mother’s Day lunch.

They were among 100 guests at the Friday 11 May function at the Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium.

The idea was to thank them for the contribution they’ve made to Victoria and to their community, and to celebrate the campaign messages of belonging and contribution.

“Having the opportunity to attend the Mother’s Day Seniors Luncheon is wonderful as it resonates the supportive Victorian values of multiculturalism and gives us the opportunity to meet like-minded women to discuss common issues and find beneficial solutions together,” WASEMA’s Elaine Smith said.

WASEMA was established in January and offers monthly networking opportunities and support to individual women and women’s groups at Springvale Learning and Activities Centre (SLAC).

They discuss and address issues affecting women in their groups or communities, and share information and services.
