A 65-year-old woman has been stripped of her expensive handbag during a violent street robbery in near Sandown Park railway station.
The Noble Park woman was approached from behind as she walked towards the corner of Alamein and Flinders streets about 11.30pm on Thursday 2 May.
The unknown male robber demanded her purse, grabbed her Louis Vuitton bag from her shoulder and pushed her to ground.
He fled to a waiting dark-coloured vehicle with its front passenger door already open.
The victim suffered grazing to her right leg as a result of the attack.
