A new committee has been elected for Dandenong’s Little India Traders Association.

The office bearers are Manmeet Kaur, Steve Khan, Hitesh Shah, Sudesh Singh, K.P. Singh and Shameela Singh.

The new committee hopes to organise a Little India Shopping Festival on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 October 2019 and is currently undertaking an approvals process with the City of Greater Dandenong.

They estimate having a turnout of 5000 to 8000 people at the Festival, which it’s believed will inject new life into declining Little India sales. Traders are planning to give up to 70 percent off to Karawa Chauth and Diwali shoppers.

A number of dignitaries including the Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Lord Mayor of Dandenong are expected to attend.

Potential festival sponsors can contact the committee for further information stalls, rides and more. All future correspondence can be directed to the committee via email, on littleindiatraders@gmail.com or phone on 0410 719 641 or 0413782164.
