Organisers are hoping to break the $500,000-mark in the 11th annual charity golf day Take A Swing.

This year’s event, hosted by Greater Dandenong Council and businesses, will raise money for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal and social enterprise Taskforce.

The latter plans to launch a coffee van supporting local job seekers.

Since its inception, Take A Swing has raised more than $430,000 for local charities.

Sponsors for this year’s day include KPJ Group, Grenda Group, Erntec, Norden Group, Future Recycling, Wadeson IP and Telstra Business Centre Dandenong.

Take A Swing will be held at the recently renovated Victoria Golf Club, Cheltenham on Wednesday 26 February from 12pm.
