Attempted Dandenong abduction

Greater Dandenong detectives are looking for a man over the attempted abduction of a teenage girl in Dandenong last month.

The 15 year old was walking along Macpherson Street about 7.15am on June 26 when she noticed a man get out of a white old-model Toyota Camry sedan on the opposite side of the road. He yelled out to her, asking if she needed a lift.

Detectives say the girl walked faster out of fear. The man followed her and made physical threats and the girl ran off.

He is described as tall, aged 20-30, with black hair and a goatee. He wore a black-hooded jumper and black tracksuit pants with two white stripes.

Anyone with information about the incident can call Crime Stoppers, 1800 333 000.
