Springvale South residents warned of daytime burglaries

By CAMERON LUCADOU-WELLS

SPRINGVALE South residents have been warned about a spate of daytime burglaries in and around Wardale Road during the past month.

Detective Acting Sergeant Nick Lamb said burglars had entered the homes by jemmying open aluminium-frame windows in houses.

They had stolen jewellery, plasma TVs and other electrical goods.

‘‘We are urging everyone to be vigilant and ensure their houses are secure,’’ Detective Lamb said.

‘‘If they see suspicious people in the area, please contact police.’’
