Four charged as sniffer dogs hit Greater Dandenong

FOUR people were charged with drug-related offences during a police sniffer-dog operation in Springvale, Noble Park and Dandenong yesterday.

Plain-clothes and uniform police officers, assisted by a Passive Alert Detector dog, targeted illicit use and selling of drugs at the suburbs’ railway stations and business districts.

Detective Senior Constable Adam Dixon, of Greater Dandenong CIU, said several members of the public, railway station staff and traders ‘‘expressed gratitude at seeing a visible police presence’’ in the areas.
