IMAGINE the aromas and flavours of New Delhi but without the hassles of crowded streets and intense heat.
A group of Dandenong residents was keen to discover the delights that Foster Street’s ‘Little India’ contained.
And as part of Mini Business Week, Greater Dandenong council’s Business Development Centre hosted a Little India Cultural Walking Tour last week which toured the city’s Indian cultural shops originally established by the Indian community, for the Indian community. The walk down Foster Street took residents to a variety of Indian clothing, cosmetic and food stores and capped off the twilight tour with a meal at Payal Indian Restaurant.
