Pulse gets a new beat

THE relaunch of Pulse nightclub on Saturday night has left promoters and patrons optimistic about the future of Dandenong’s only dedicated nightclub.
Pulse has replaced live bands and heavy metal with DJs, and successfully attracted a younger crowd to the refurbished venue.
Promoter Elliot Wakefield said he was pleased with the first-night results. “It was great, everything was above expectations,” he said.
“It is something to work on and we will keep building Pulse; we want local youth to have a party place in Dandenong and not have to travel to the city for a good night out.”
One Berwick resident, Kara, said unlike other local clubs, Pulse managed to keep the price of its drinks at reasonable levels. “It’s much better when the drinks are affordable,” she said.
Pulse is on the corner of Walker and Thomas streets and keeps beating this Saturday night. The doors open at 9pm.
