DANDENONG detectives are again calling for witnesses to a savage carjacking in Springvale that happened in May.
Detectives said that about 1pm on Tuesday, 8 May, two women were in a gold Mitsubishi Pajero with registration number UQU 654 that stopped at traffic lights at the intersection of Stephen St and Springvale Rd.
Police said a man wearing a balaclava approached the vehicle and opened the driver’s door.
The man attacked the driver, punching her in the face and breaking her nose, before pulling her from the vehicle.
He then ordered the woman passenger from the vehicle before stealing it and driving away.
The stolen vehicle was found the next day in a service road on Westall Rd, Springvale.
Detectives are hoping that any witnesses who saw the incident or anyone with any information who has not contacted police will do so.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
