MANUFACTURERS from the Greater Dandenong region will meet this month to discuss key issues affecting their businesses in a bid to gain support from political parties in the lead-up to this year’s Federal Election.
The South East Melbourne Manufacturers’ Alliance (SEMMA) is organising the meeting to be held on Wednesday, 18 July at the Business Development Unit in Dandenong.
Over the past six months, SEMMA has actively been meeting with politicians from both sides to discuss key issues affecting manufacturing in the Greater Dandenong corridor, specifically skills and training problems, climate change and its impact on business, and industrial relations.
It is now holding the Open Forum to allow manufacturers the chance to have their say on what matters most to their business, and help SEMMA form a united voice on behalf of its members.
