SOARING fuel prices have been blamed for a council budget blow-out on its car fleet expenses.
Dandenong North Ward councillor John Kelly this week questioned a $58,000 increase on the council’s projected fleet budget, which appeared in its financial quarterly report ending in October.
The council’s net fleet costs for the quarter is $414,306, compared to the projected $356,015.
