DANDENONG’S Muso Network is ready to rock for its 15th birthday celebration at The Castle on Friday, 1 June.
Since 1992, the Muso Network, a voluntary advisory and management group, has been organising music-related events and services for young people in the City of Greater Dandenong.
Juke Kartel, on the back of an MTV awards performance and a US tour, will perform at the celebration. The band recorded its first original song at The Venue in Noble Park, while band member Dale Winters is a former Muso Network committee member.
Mr Winters said his time spent with the Muso Network was invaluable in terms of his musical career.
“I met a lot of great life-long friends at Muso Network, and it gave me the inspiration to make a career out of music,” he said.
“Networking with so many musicians opened the doors of the Melbourne music industry for me and so many others.”
Local favourites Foucault and The Quarters will also perform on the night alongside reformed legends Valhalla, Keith, Mothership Lovecraft and 2005 Battle of the Bands winner Halitosis.
The Muso Network will celebrate its 15th birthday from 7pm to 11.30pm at The Castle, Hemmings Park, Princes Highway, Dandenong.
Tickets can be pre-booked for $7 at the Drum Theatre or bought on the night for $10. For more details call 9771 6666.
