GREATER Dandenong council has received 121 resignations and made 21 redundancies over a period of 18 months.
In addition, it has also employed 232 new staff, which are believed to include casual staff for the Drum Theatre and Town Hall, and Noble Park Heated Swim Centre.
That figure leaves the council with 90 additional employees.
The information is contained in an email to all councillors from Greater Dandenong CEO Carl Wulff dated late February referring to the 18-month period since 1 August, 2004.
Dandenong Drum Theatre and Town Hall has a total of 22 staff, of which 14 are casuals, the email states.
While Noble Park Heated Swim Centre has 23 staff of which 21 are casuals, and the council’s Home and Community Care program has a total of 45 staff “to complete the resource needs of bringing the service in house”.
Star contacted Greater Dandenong CEO Carl Wulff but was unable to receive comment on the figures before deadline.
