SALES projections for the Metro Village 3175 estate in previous years had been unrealistic, the Greater Dandenong council has admitted.
City CEO John Bennie told reporters at a 2008-09 budget briefing that the council expected to meet sales forecasts for the Metro 3175 estate in the next financial year after several years of “unrealistic” projections.
“We are confident that forward cash receipts will be in line with our budget projections,” Mr Bennie said.
The council is projecting a little over $1.5 million in land and property sales for Metro 3175 in the 2008-09 financial year, and $3 million the following year.
