Early council voting options now available

GREATER Dandenong residents unable to make it to the 29 November election day can vote early beginning later this month.
From Wednesday 29 October, people can vote in person from 9am to 5pm on weekdays at the election office, 6/119-123 Lonsdale Street, Dandenong.
Additionally, the days leading up to the election date will be available.
Voters can attend the centre between 9am and 8pm on Thursday 27 November and 9am and 9pm on Friday 28 November.
Returning officer for the Greater Dandenong elections Bill Irvine encouraged people to vote early if they knew they couldn’t make the 29 November date.
“It is important that votersplan ahead so they don’t miss the chance to have their say on the future direction of their local council,” he said.
Early voting will also be available from 9am to 5pm on Wednesday 26 November, 9am to 8pm on Thursday 27 November, and 9am to 6pm on Friday 28 November at the following locations: Customer Service Centre, 39 Clow Street, Dandenong Customer Service Centre, 397-405 Springvale Road, SpringvaleKeysborough Reserve Hall (Senior Citizens Centre), 352 Cheltenham Road, Keysborough.
Alternatively, people can apply to vote by post. To apply, a voter needs to complete a postal vote application form and return it to the Returning Officer as soon as possible.
Postal vote application forms are available at www.vec.vic.gov.au.
