TWO Doveton men have been charged with a number of offences following a collision with a parked car on Sunday.
Dandenong Police were called to Raymond Street, Dandenong South, at about 5pm to reports of a collision.
Witnesses told police both the driver and passenger of the car were acting suspiciously following the collision, which led police to search their backpacks – they found 1705 prescription tablets of various types.
The two men, one 22-year-old and one 24-year-old, were charged with possess drug of dependence, theft petrol drive off, theft – other; and obtain property by deception.
The driver was charged with theft of motor car and other driving offences.
The men have been bailed to appear before Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on 29 May 2009.
