MARK Pollocks spends his days at Alfasi Steel Constructions Pty Ltd as an apprentice boilermaker.
From a young age, Mark showed an interest in putting things together and has since carried on that interest on a larger scale.
Mark is now studying engineering at the Chisholm Tafe in Dandenong and is in his second year of apprenticeship.
Mark said what he likes most about his job is that it is challenging.
“You have to use your head with this industry, and I love a challenge.”
“Seeing the finished product and what I have been a part of is very rewarding,” he said.
Mark said he would love to get into robotics and mechatronics one day.
“I would even love to become a trade school teacher; it looks like a fun job,” he said.
