GREATER Dandenong train commuters will soon be given stickers to put on vehicles in order to alert police to cars parked at the station during business hours.
Victoria Police is joining with the City of Greater Dandenong and Connex in an initiative designed to highlight vehicle safety around railway station car parks in the area.
Local police plan to distribute the stickers at a number of stations in the Greater Dandenong Area including Springvale, Sandown Park, Noble Park, Yarraman and Dandenong.
Police are also encouraging commuters to “Park Smarter” by locking their vehicle and check that all valuables are removed before getting on their train.
