NEW artwork at the Mons Parade underpass was launched last week. The City of Greater Dandenong unveiled the new-look underpass in Noble Park, featuring the work of artist Anu Patel.
The design, named The Water Pool, explores the local landscape and enhances visibility through the use of bright colours and interesting angles.
Earlier this year Ms Patel developed two designs for the Mons Parade pedestrian underpass, inspired by workshops held with students from Noble Park Secondary College.
In March Noble Park residents, local traders and school students were invited to vote on their preferred design. Mayor Pinar Yesil said the winning design was a colourful addition to Mons Parade.
The public art project was funded by the City of Greater Dandenong, Connex and the Department of Transport.
