UNUSUAL recycling materials can be handed over at Dandenong Plaza during National Recycling Week, from 9 to 15 November.
The Dandenong Plaza Recycling Station will accept items such as batteries, printer cartridges, corks, compact fluoro light globes (CFLs) and clothing and will provide information on a range of local recycling organisations.
GPT Group (GPT) is the owner and manager of Dandenong Plaza, and their involvement in National Recycling Week formed part of the organisation’s social investment platform.
The GPT’s recycling efforts were aimed at reducing human impact on the environment as well as preserving the environment, Dandenong Plaza Centre Manager Scott Crellin said.
“From old clothing to plastic bags, GPT will provide collection points throughout Dandenong Plaza to make recycling easy for our customers,” Mr Crellin said.
“Retailers, community groups and schools are all participating in rais-ing awareness about recycling in our community. Collectively, we have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference.”
