FESTIVITIES in Greater Dandenong on Sunday weren’t only about celebrating Australia Day.
Springvale hosted Lunar New Year activities on 26 January to welcome the Year of the Horse.
The event draws about 70,000 people to the town centre each year to enjoy cultural performances, food, firecrackers and more.
A flag raising ceremony and rendition of the national anthem brought an Aussie feel to the festivities, which included lion and dragon dances, martial arts displays, live bands, games and rides.
