A man has been seriously injured when a car crashed into a brick letter box on Stud Road, Dandenong.
Police are investigating the single vehicle crash, in which the driver lost control about 10.50pm on Wednesday 31 October.
The entrapped 28-year-old male driver from Dandenong was freed by emergency crews on scene.
He was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
A man in his 30s, who was the car’s front passenger, was taken to hospital by road ambulance with minor injuries.
Police believe a female passenger fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
Authorities are urging her to contact police or attend a hospital to receive treatment for any injuries she might have sustained.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
