Tigers can win it, says Swanny

Dane Swan is interviewed by MC John Shore from Ray White Chelsea. He kept the crowd well entertained, despite smashing the record for F-words, according to Shore.

Former Collingwood star Dane Swan has had to postpone celebrations with his good mate and now fellow Brownlow Medallist Dustin Martin.
Swan told a gathering of business people at the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce Grand Final Lunch at the Southern Golf Club in Keysborough on Wednesday that he had blocked out two or three days this week to celebrate his mate’s Brownlow Medal win on Monday night.
However, the celebrations were put on hold because the Richmond star has more pressing duties in Saturday’s AFL Grand Final at the MCG.
Swan will be there cheering his mate and the Tigers home against Adelaide and, despite initial reservations, he believes the fairytale could come true and the Tigers can clinch their first flag in 37 years.
“I have kept waiting for Richmond to do what Richmond does and f… it up, but they haven’t so far,” Swan told the crowd.
“They are riding a massive wave of success at the moment.
“Rain would help Richmond – but how would I know really? I’m going on Saturday and it will be the first game I’ve gone to all year.
“I just hope it’s a good grand final and Dusty takes home the Norm Smith (Medal) as well.”
Swan has spent the past few months overseas, experiencing the European summer and attending the Coachella music festival in North America.
He says he is loving retirement, but may pull the boots on again somewhere in 2018.
