Brothel declared

DANDENONG Magistrates’ Court has ruled an adult club in Maxwell Street, Dandenong, was operating as an illegal brothel.
The Magistrates’ Court on 20 September declared the premises of 15-17 Maxwell Street, Dandenong, known as Club Visions, a proscribed brothel. Local police applied to have the premises declared a proscribed brothel under the Prostitution Control Act 1994. The declaration will remain in force until further order of the court. It is now illegal for anyone, including the owner, to be found in, to enter, or to leave the premises, with fines or jail time as penalties.
