POLICE are searching for the driver who ran down two elderly women in Keysborough on Sunday and fled the scene.
The Keysborough women, aged 86 and 75, were taken to Monash Medical Centre for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Police said they were walking on a crossing at the Cheltenham and Chapel roads intersection about 6.30pm on 25 August when a white four-wheel drive – thought to be a late-model Kia – heading north on Chapel Road turned into Cheltenham Road.
The driver did not stop at the scene to help.
Greater Dandenong Highway Patrol investigators are urging anyone with information about the collision or the driver’s identity to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au.
