Pakenham man charged: Dandenong motorcyclist critical in suspected hit and run

A PAKENHAM man has been charged with failing to stop and help a critically-injured motorcylist in an alleged hit-and-run crash in Dandenong on Friday night.

Major collision investigation unit detectives say a couple in a white Toyota and a motorcycle crashed at the intersection of South Gippsland and Princes highways about 9.50pm.

Detectives arrested the 22 year old alleged coupe driver yesterday, also charging him with negligently causing serious injury.

He has been bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court tomorrow.

The motorcyclist, a 33-year-old Springvale man, was taken to The Alfred hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is in a critical but stable condition.
