THE excitement of AFL football finals has gripped students and staff at St Anthony’s Primary School.
Last week the school hosted a showdown worthy of finals fame, a match between staff and students.
The game was part of Footy Week celebrations at St Anthony’s Primary School that also included students coming dressed in their favourite team’s colours.
Both teams kept a watchful eye on the scoreboard – but the number of points scored did not determine the winner.
Instead, the school opened up the game to charity, and challenged students and teachers to donate to their respective team.
The winner was the Noble Park Cyrene Centre which will receive the funding to help it continue its work with the families of drug and alcohol affected individuals.
