Music part of the magic of Christmas

NOBLE Park’s shopping district will come alive with the spirit of Christmas this year as a result of a meeting between the town’s traders and the City of Greater Dandenong.
As of this week, roving musicians, face painters and balloon blowers have been greeting shoppers and adding joy and happiness to their Christmas experience.
Music, entertainment and children’s activities are happening from 11.30am to 1.30pm each Saturday until Christmas, featuring the happy sounds of bands such as the Warblers Jazz Trio, Bohemian Days Duo and the Upbeats Roving Jazz Trio.
Noble Park Ward councillor Pinar Yesil said in a media statement that giving Noble Park shopping centre a better Christmas feel was just a beginning for growing community pride in the area.
“At a meeting in November, plans were laid for giving local residents a Christmas shopping experience to remember,” he said.
“With council’s assistance and support, a range of shop windows are being professionally decorated in Christmas themes.
“I hope shoppers will enjoy these, as well as the roving musicians and face painters who will be entertaining each Saturday until Christmas.
“There is a lot of enthusiasm amongst Noble Park traders, and a strong will to improve and energise the neighbourhood for the good of all – traders, shoppers and residents alike.
“I congratulate the traders and businesses in Noble Park for joining forces and working with the council to make this a very special Christmas and New Year.
“There is nothing better than working with a community that is so positive and optimistic about the future.”
The Salvation Army will also be singing carols on Saturdays from 11am to noon.
