THE City of Greater Dandenong has spent $1 million buying an arcade at 303 Springvale Road.
The money came from the sale of the land at Springvale’s Andrew Ericsson Gardens to Victoria Police.
Council chief executive officer Carl Wulff said it was a strategic purchase that would link council’s Warwick Avenue property with Springvale Road.
He did not rule out the Warwick Avenue property location for a new Springvale library.
The property will provide a $100,000 annual rental return for the council.
