A LYNBROOK man has been charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of amphetamines after police busted a major and sophisticated drug ring last week.
Operation Roamer involved police from Latrobe Valley, Dandenong, Narre Warren and Frankston, as well as the canine unit and special operations group (SOG).
Police said that on the afternoon of 30 May they executed search warrants simultaneously on six properties in Lynbrook, Frankston, Dandenong and Latrobe Valley.
Police found cash to the value of $140,000 wrapped in black plastic in $35,000 blocks, and a large quantity of amphetamines and cannabis.
Acting Sergeant Andrew Lappin from Morwell Divisional Tasking Unit told Star that police had tracked the drug ring from Latrobe Valley into Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs.
A Lynbrook man in his late-30s has been remanded in police custody and charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of amphetamines.
He will appear before Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in September.
