DRIVERS traversed the EastLink tollway over 6.5 million times during its toll-free period.
Tollway operator ConnectEast recorded an average of 270,000 daily trips along EastLink with the most popular section, Springvale Road to the Ringwood Bypass, recording an average 108,000 trips daily.
Sections of the tollway between the Monash Freeway interchange and Frankston end totalled 300,000 trips on average per day.
The first two weeks of the toll-free period fell in the school holiday period while statistics for the final three days of tolling were unavailable, according to ConnectEast in its release to the Australian Stock Exchange.
ConnectEast will release results of its first tolled week to the Australian Stock Exchange later this week.
