A DENTAL van to visit people with special needs has been launched by the State Government.
Health Minister Daniel Andrews last week launched a dental van which will be based at Dandenong’s Emerson School.
It will visit schools where special needs people need access to dental care.
“Patients with special needs require convenient and easily accessible services and these specially-designed vans take the service directly to them,” Mr Andrews said. “These include people with disabilities, those who are homeless or people with a range of other issues such as mental illness,” he said.
“The Brumby Government has provided $1.17 million so Dental Health Services Victoria can deliver these three new vans for those in the community who need them most.”
