Dandy market works

SHOPPERS at the Dandenong Market will be able to enjoy improved facilities and a larger range of fresh food after the completion of the Dandenong Market Redevelopment plan.
The construction, which will begin on 12 January, will include a large fresh food section, increased space for fruit and vegetables, a new general merchandise hall, new offices, loading facilities, cool stores, and spaces for additional 26 general merchandise traders.
Greater Dandenong’s City Improvement manager Bruce Rendall said shopping at the Dandenong Market will be a more enjoyable experience.
“(The market will have) the potential to attract a much broader customer base,” he said.
The project is expected to be complete by April 2010.
