Police have charged a 28-year-old man with murder over Dandenong man Rahat Khan’s shooting death in Dallas.
They arrested Dallas resident Kamil Yucel on Friday 15 July.
He was remanded at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 16 July to return for a filing hearing on Wednesday 20 July.
Emergency services were called to Millewa Crescent in Dallas shortly before 5.30pm on Tuesday 12 July, but paramedics were unable to revive Mr Khan, 20.
His North Dandenong cricket and football team-mates paid tribute to the Afghan migrant as driven, funny and passionate.
