DANDENONG’S specialised task force targeting burglaries in Greater Dandenong has delivered on its promise to reduce crime in the town.
Residential and industrial areas are being targeted in the operation.
Detective Acting Sergeant Dean Hayes said that more than 40 people had been charged in the past month.
This week police charged a 29-year-old Parkdale man with six counts of burglary in Keysborough and questioned a 27-year-old Noble Park man in relation to 15 related incidents.
Leading Senior Constable Mick Newgreen said the taskforce was pleased so far with results and would continue their heavy-handed approach.
“We are getting some really good results and hope to continue that,” Ldg Sen Con Newgreen said.
