POLICE have charged a 34-year-old Mulgrave man with 11 counts of burglary committed in the Dandenong area.
Detective Senior Constable Tommy Pietrosanto said that the man was believed to have taken part in up to 20 burglaries in the area dating back to 2004. He said detectives issued a warrant to search the Mulgrave property and found many items including a large amount of jewellery.
The man was charged and remanded to face Dandenong Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday. The property was described by Sen Const. Pietrosanto as an “Aladdin’s cave”.
A 41-year-old housemate was also charged.
