Art brings out ability

RADICAL Community Creations artwork exhibition will be on display at the Springvale Library’s Art on Glass exhibition space.
The exhibition will showcase works created by members of an art workshop at The Hub Support Options, a division of Options Victoria, throughout the month of June.
Options Victoria, in partnership with the City of Greater Dandenong, developed the art workshop to bring together people, culture and disability with creative expression through art.
Options Victoria community support worker Lisa Williams said the program was designed to have an emphasis on bringing together people from various backgrounds and abilities.
“It has assisted people to tap into creative pathways, expressing themselves with a purpose of submitting art work in a locally supported environment,” Ms Williams said.
“Through the development of this project, individuals were working as a team in the creation and celebration of cultural diversity in the Dandenong region.”
