Climb on the eco wagon

PARKMORE Shopping Centre will host a range of inspirational and educational activities from 27 July to 2 August 2009 at the annual Ways to Save Expo.
And shoppers will have the opportunity to win an automatic Toyota Prius hybrid.
Ways to Save is an environmental awareness program aimed at helping the community reduce its impact on the natural environment. “With activities for all ages, we encourage you to visit and join us in making a difference at home, work or at school as we share tips on how each one of us can reduce our impact on the environment,” said centre manager Victoria Gibson. During the expo, Parkmore Shopping Centre will put on free organic cooking demonstrations and organic product giveaways.
Information on how to be sustainable will be showcased throughout the centre and shoppers can win a split-system Cooler valued at $1800 if they enter the Sustainability Quiz.
Parkmore will also showcase local eco businesses.
The Ways to Save activities culminate in a plastic-bag-free day on 29 July and a native tree giveaway on Friday 31 July to the first 500 participants.
