THREE Springvale men were lucky to escape serious injury when their van overturned on the Pakenham Bypass on Friday.
Leading Senior Constable Matt Pzeitch, of Cardinia’s Traffic Management Unit, said the vehicle was travelling east when it swerved and lost control near the McGregor Road exit at 11.40am.
The van rolled several times before coming to a stop in a culvert by the freeway.
The driver of the van was taken to Casey Hospital for treatment to minor cuts and bruises.
The CFA also attended the smash and doused the van to prevent any fire outbreaks.
