HI-5 is set to delight Dandenong audiences in January, with their brand new live stage show Hi-5 Surprise!
Tickets are selling fast for the group’s new show which will star new members Lauren Brant, Fely Irvine and Tim Maddren alongside Casey Burgess and Stevie Nicholson live on stage.
It’s a great big celebration featuring Hi-5’s most popular songs including ‘Hide Your Eyes’, ‘Celebrate’ and ‘Give Five’, as well as some new favourites.
New member Fely says Hi-5 Surprise! has the group members planning a surprise birthday party for their friend Chats and everyone has to keep it a secret.
“There’s lots of fun, songs, music, games, dancing, colour and a big surprise,” Fely said.
“Who doesn’t love a big party?”
Casey encourages the whole audience to keep the secret as Stevie and Tim dress up as zoo animals, Jup Jup helps Fely decorate the birthday cake, and Lauren distracts Chats with a storybook adventure about TJ the guinea pig.
Since she joined Hi-5, Fely said the experience has been mind-blowing.
“It’s incredible just how much fun we are having,” she said.
“We have become the best of friends.
“We are just a group of Australian performers doing exactly what we love to do.”
She said while each member was different and the group was dynamic, they have bonded really well.
“We just have so much fun up there on stage and I think that is contagious,” she said.
Hi-5 Surprise will be at the Drum Theatre on Saturday 23 January at 11.30am and 2pm.
Cost is $42.90 for premium tickets or $32.90 for all other tickets.
