MT HIRA College in Keysborough is celebrating the achievements of last year’s Year 12 class, who all received first round tertiary offers.
Principal Patricia Gay said even though there were only seven students in the class, their success was a highlight for the school.
“We have only been doing VCE for three years and we are a growing school, so this is a big accomplishment,” she said.
“(Staff) are very delighted for the students, especially considering so many Victorian students did not receive offers.”
Ms Gay said she believed the accomplishments would be an incentive to this year’s Year 12 class to push themselves to succeed.
“I think it will be an incentive to (this year’s) students,” she said.
“Hopefully they think ‘we can do that!’”
