DANDENONG business owners can participate in an upcoming workshop and be in the running to snaffle an impressive Victorian award.
The Governor of Victoria Export Awards is a showcase for businesses across the state that has achieved export success in the last 12 months.
Victorian Business Centre South East Regional Director Terry Dyson encouraged all businesses to get apply for the awards.
“We encourage all exporting local businesses, from start-ups to well-established organisations with multi-million dollar turnovers, to participate in the Victorian Export Awards,” he said.
“A healthy economy relies on exports. The Governor of Victoria Export Awards promotes the success of local companies exporting their products or services around the world. The Victorian Business Centre in Dandenong is running a workshop to encourage and assist companies in applying for this year’s awards.”
Robert Broomfield, CEO of Mulgrave-based Future Fibre Technology and 2009 winner of the Small to Medium Manufacturer category in last year’s awards, said the receiving the award was a profile-raising experience.
“We were delighted to have had this profile-raising experience,” Mr Broomfield said. “This award acknowledges us as a world player in the global export market and we are proud to be developing security technology that helps protect important assets.”
The Governor of Victoria Export Awards workshop will show companies how to prepare an aware winning submission for the Governor of Victoria Export Awards, assist companies to use the awards application to review and update their export plan programs, and provide an opportunity to network with fellow exporters.
