A MAN was arrested and charged with armed robbery in Springvale South on the weekend.
Police said at 8.30am on Saturday, a 53-year-old woman was robbed in Harold Road.
Springvale police arrested Tien Gian, 26, in Athol Road, Springvale South shortly after.
Gian was charged with armed robbery and appeared before an out of sessions hearing at Springvale police station.
He was remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday 18 October.
