AN elderly woman is fighting for her life after she was involved in a head-on collision in Noble Park North on Sunday afternoon.
Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Jackson Road and Silverton Drive just before 1pm.
Police said it appeared a vehicle, driven by a 27-year-old man from Dandenong, veered into the path of an oncoming car containing three elderly occupants.
A 78-year-old New Zealand woman was trapped for more than an hour and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 71-year-old male driver and 69-year-old female front seat passenger were both taken to Dandenong Hospital with minor injuries.
