POLICE are warning Greater Dandenong residents of a telephone scam that has already targeted a Dandenong North resident.
The scam involves acaller who promises money if an upfront fee is made.
In one case, a Dandenong North resident was asked to pay a $400 fee via a bank deposit slip before being entitled to $4144 from the bank reclaim department.
In another case, a caller claimed to be involved in a successful class action regarding bank charges and told the Melton resident that he would receive $9000 if an administrative fee was paid.
