CELEBRATE Australia Day in Greater Dandenong on January 26.
The council will hold two events on the day, including a breakfast from 9am at Springers Leisure Centre, 400 Cheltenham Road, Keysborough which will include a flag raising ceremony with a free sausage sizzle, children’s activities in the leisure centre and the City of Greater Dandenong Band.
They will also hold an Australia Day concert in Dandenong Park From 11am on the corner of Pultney and Foster streets, Dandenong.
Main stage program: 11.15am City of Greater Dandenong Band, 12pm Batacuda,12.30pm Flag Raising Ceremony and National Anthem with special guest vocalist Justin Peters, plus Citizen of the Year Awards, 1.15pm Blackberry Jam Bush Band, 2pm Percussion Performance.
Children’s Free Activities from 11am: Australia Day kite making project, percussion workshop, face painting, roving children’s performers, waste wise events and drug and alcohol free events.
