A HEART attack hasn’t stopped Dandenong artist Nelus Oana.
In March, the landscape artist collapsed at his home and was rushed to the Dandenong Hospital for treatment.
The Romanian-born artist presented a heart-themed painting to Professor Ian Meredith and staff at MonashHeart in Clayton on Tuesday to thank them for saving his life.
The artwork will contribute to the growing Heart Art collection at Southern Health, a project in its sixth year.
Artworks have been sourced for the collection from a variety of prominent artists.
“The people that mattered the most were there, it was a great event,” Nelus said.
